Pecos East Farm originated in
Simpsonville, KY in 1991 but was moved to Waddy KY in 2005 in order to
acquire more land that would accommodate more horses along with a new
facility and is owned and operated by Don & Billie Rickert.
Our farm is located just 1 mile
off interstate 64 at exit 43 in Waddy, KY. We established our home in a 8000
sq. foot barn with living quarters, 2 laundry mats, 12 x 12 heated
wash area, 8 x 8 heated grooming area, (15) 8 x 6 stalls and (2), 8 x 16
foaling stalls, all under 1 roof with surveillance cameras to monitor every
area. Our love for horses prompted us to plan for the future as we became
older.
Our first stallion, Dena Dales
Red Shadow, made his mark in the miniature horse industry by producing show
quality foals in the late eighties. His offspring are still some of the best
producers yet today. He left us with a lot of memories and many offspring.
Our breeding program has
progressed to acquiring stallions that can produce the Arabian head and
slender neck for today's look. These stallions bred to show quality mares
are producing foals that can compete in the Miniature Horse Industry at the
world level.
